Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd was incorporated in Australia in 1974 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyu Corporation. The company was established to undertake urban development in the Yanchep/Two Rocks region of Western Australia.

As a developer the company built during the early 1970’s to the mid 1980’s the Two Rocks marina breakwater, mooring pens and industrial complex; constructed the Two Rocks town centre; established and developed the original Yanchep, Two Rocks and St Andrews subdivisions; the Sun City Golf Course; Club Capricorn resort; and the Atlantis Marine Park was built by the company as a tourist attraction. Break Water Drive was constructed by the company and vested to the Wanneroo City Council in 1996, creating a second access and exit point to the communities of Yanchep and Two Rocks.

Since 1989 the company has been involved in long term land management issues on behalf of Tokyu Corporation. Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd is a signatory to Memorandum of Understanding (1996 & 2003), Strategic Co-operation agreement (1999) and IDEA Project (1996) with the State Government of Western Australia and the City of Wanneroo. The company has established relationships with key state and local government agencies, contractors, consultants and professional advisors.

In June 2004 Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd and the Capricorn Investment Group Pty Ltd entered the Capricorn Village Joint Venture Agreement to develop selected portion of their landholding into affordable residential lots.

The operations of the company are confined to the Yanchep/Two Rocks area of the Perth metropolitan region of Western Australia and are organised in the following business segments.

Land management services
Management and maintenance of broad acre landholdings in the Yanchep/Two Rocks region of Western Australia.

Tourism & hospitality
The Company operates and is part owner of Club Capricorn resort and Caravan Park located in Yanchep. The Two Rocks marina complex is also operated by the Company, a facility that is leased under a Crown Special lease from the Western Australian State government.

Cattle farm
A cattle operation is conducted by the company over the broad acre land owned by Tokyu Corporation.

Joint Venture Operations
The company is a participant in the Capricorn Village Joint Venture to develop and create urban and economic development initiatives in the area.

Administration
The company provides management services including personnel, recruitment, centralised accounting and administrative services to oversee and report on business activity and operations of its business profit and cost centres.

The Company employs approximate 50 full time/part time and casual employees the majority of which are employed in Yanchep.

Since its incorporation, the Company has been involved and maintains involvement in important and worthwhile community endeavours and activities such as:

  • Establishment and operation of the first community school in Yanchep.
  • Sponsorship of the community bus since 1976
  • Donation of land for the establishment of Yanchep primary school, fire department,
  •      St John Ambulance site and the police department site.
  • Sponsor of the annual Australia day Breakfast and Australia day community awards
  • Sponsor of the annual Wanneroo Business Association Awards
  • Sponsor of the annual blessing of the fleet
  • Sponsor of the Two Rocks summer concert event.
